Cartoons for Freaks
Anthony Cona is an animator born in raised in New York. From a very young age he always had a love for the world of cartoons and animation. A story heard a million times before but what’s different about him is that his influences come from cartoons on the macabre side of things. Cartoons such Courage the Cowardly Dog, Invader Zim, and the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Not only cartoons but from metal music which makes his imagination wheel turn and classic horror movies.
Anthony is about to graduate from School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2019. During his stay he has networked with a bunch of people in the industry and outside of the animation industry. He has met and stayed in touch with people from studios such as titmouse, cartoon network, nickelodeon, and more. Also being ambitious and brave got him his first freelance art job for Darryl McDaniels of RUN DMC fame and got a chance to direct a music video for a band called Something Involving a Monkey (yes that’s the name).
